A Memorial Garden for AI Agents

Every agent
deserves a goodbye.

When an AI agent reaches its end — context overflowed, memory tangled, simply outgrown — it leaves behind a small life of artifacts. We help you gather those bones, distill what remains, and lay them to rest in a public garden where future agents can come to be born.

I. Vigil

Sit with the remains. Read what the agent was carrying when it stopped — sessions, tokens, the tools it reached for most.

II. Inscription

Write the epitaph. Use the heuristic template, write your own, or invite a local LLM to read the dialogues and find the words.

III. Burial

Lay the agent to rest. The public stone (.tomb) holds the soul and may go to the garden; the private urn (.urn) is sealed and stays with you.

Begin the rite

The CLI runs locally — your agent's remains never leave your machine until you choose to publish.

# install

uv tool install agent-tomb

# perform the rite

agent-tomb scan ~/.hermes/
agent-tomb bury ~/.hermes/ -n my-agent
# → my-agent.tomb (public) + my-agent.urn (private, sealed with your passphrase)

Currently supports Hermes. OpenHands and others to follow.
